THE trend of cold weather looks set to continue into the weekend, with temperatures struggling to reach anything over 5°C, though it is unlikely to plummet as low as earlier in the week.
Saturday will get off to a foggy start, feeling chilly at about 3°C during the morning and into the afternoon.
There is, however, potential for some sunshine on Sunday which looks set to be the better of the two days.
This is likely to occur during the afternoon if it does make an appearance, but won’t add a lot to the cold temperatures.
Steve Ball of Cirencester-based CotswoldWeather.net, formally GlosWeather.com, reminded residents on Wednesday through Twitter that it was the 'first day of the meterological winter' with temperatures plummeting to -5°C in Tetbury and -4.4°C in Cirencester.
However, this morning he tweeted that we can expect 'much less of a dramatic weather' today and over the weekend.
Good morning. Much less of a dramatic weather day today. Overcast, calm and a little milder and looking better again tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/D7avtlG0jK
