PEOPLE wanting to know more about or to put on events at the Tetbury Goods Shed are invited for a cup of tea and a chat.

The volunteers behind the Goods Shed will be at Christ Church, The Chipping, Tetbury on Saturday, October 29 between 3pm and 5.30pm to talk about the plans and about what residents would like to see on show next year.

The events team are currently planning the shows, exhibitions, festivals and performances for the cultural space which will open next year.

The external building work is almost complete and plans to open up the Goods Shed as an exhibition space in early 2017 are on track.

Project leaders will be focusing on making the space as comfortable as possible for audiences next. There are plans for 182 tiered seats, a state of the art cinema screen and sound system, and a brand new kitchen and cafe.

Chairman of the Tetbury Rail Lands Regeneration Trust Will Cook said: “Come along and talk to the people behind this exciting project and let us know what you would like to see at the Goods Shed next year.

"Maybe you have an idea for a musical performance, a film you’d like to watch on the big screen or an artist you think should be exhibited. Or perhaps you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer?

“Everyone is welcome. We’ll be laying on tea, coffee and homemade cake. Please feel free to drop in anytime between 3pm and 5.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there”.
