  • THE World’s Biggest Coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Relief will be happening tomorrow in Ewen at Ewelme by kind invitation of Pat and Tony Ferris 10am-12pm. Raffle, cakes, Christmas cards, bring and buy and books. Contributions to the stalls would be appreciated. Also at Rosemead Somerford Keynes you can partake in coffee and cake 10am-12pm.
  • TOMORROW you can buy tickets on the door for the concert being held in Cirencester Parish Church at 7.30pm that has been organised by the patient participation group on behalf of St Peter’s Road surgery for specialised equipment. The Stuart Singers are very well known as an excellent choir. Tickets are just £5, there will be a retiring collection too. 
  • SUNDAY services are being held in Kemble at 9.30am with Holy Communion and Sunday school. Family service will be at 11am in Poole Keynes and morning prayer in Somerford Keynes. In the evening Harvest at The Tavern with hosts Dan and Tracey. There will be a short service at 8pm followed by an auction of produce in aid of a suitable charity. Many have had a meal beforehand from 6.30pm and if you so wish please contact Tony Ferris on 770756 who will give you details of the menu etc, or email tonyferris@btinternet.com
  • A WARM and friendly support group of volunteers are in St Peter’s lounge, St Peters Court, Cirencester on Wednesday at 7.30pm for sufferers and carers of eating disorders. This sharing of experiences in a non judgemental setting can provide a better outcome for the days ahead and helps lift the mood. Contact Pat in confidence on 770385 or email pat@ayrescares.orangehome.co.uk
  • GET YOUR tickets for the Kemble and Ewen Harvest supper taking place in Kemble village hall at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 8. Spaces are limited so reserve your seat asap by contacting Pat and Tony on 770756, £5 adults and just £2 for children. Somerford Keynes bring and share harvest supper will be on Sunday, October 9 following the 4pm service and tickets are £5 adults and children £3. Tickets from Muriel Watkins on 861614 or Sandy Crofts on 861658. 
  • KEMBLE and District poppy launch event will take place in Kemble village hall with a return visit of Andy Hughes. Saturday, October 15, enjoy a selection of music/singing from the 1950s until the present day. Tickets are £7.50 which includes a delicious supper are on a first come first served basis from Pat on 770385.
