A PROFESSOR from the University of Bristol will be giving a fascinating talk in Malmesbury next week about legendary architect Capability Brown.

Timothy Mowl is a retired professor in garden history from the University of Bristol and has an extensive background in architecture, conservation and landscaping history.

He will present an enlightening illustrated lecture on Capability Brown's achievements in shaping the eighteenth century landscape, with particular focus on nearby properties including Bowood, Longleat, Corsham Court and Prior Park.

The talk takes place at Malmesbury Town Hall from 7pm on Thursday, September 29.
