I WOULD like to express my concerns over what I feel to be negative reporting of the car parking fines at Cirencester Hospital.

We should feel very lucky that we have an excellent local hospital providing many services and free car parking.

Unlike Cheltenham, Gloucester and Swindon hospitals where parking charges exist.

Where you have highlighted persons receiving fines I wonder whether they have provided evidence, to the company issuing the fines, that they had hospital appointments and were valid visitors to the hospital?

I had to visit the hospital today and overheard a receptionist telling a visitor that if he had a car in the car park he should record his registration number.

There are signs everywhere within the grounds and staff pointing out the system, what more can they do?
