AS PART of the nation-wide Big Draw, which encourages all ages to have a go at drawing, there will be a drop-in drawing activity by Cirencester artist Laurie Plant in Bingham Gallery.

The drop-in activity will take place on Saturday, October 1 from 10am to 2pm.

The event links to this year's Bingham Gallery special exhibition Drawing on Cirencester, which shows historic scenes of Cirencester over 250 years.

It explores how Cirencester has been depicted through drawing through the expressive drawings of the town created 1814 by Jean Claude Nattes to more recent works by Cirencester artist Laurie Plant.

The event is suitable for all ages from five upwards. Admission is free and visitors can stay from 10 minutes to the whole morning.

Laurie Plant is a well-known Cirencester artist known for his woolly jumper hare in 2014’s Hare Festival and his commission ‘Cirencester Capital of the Cotswold’s’ now in the Bingham Gallery’s collection.
