A WILDLIFE park in Bourton-on-the-Water was broken into and £150 cash stolen from a café till.
Offenders broke into the café and ice cream kiosk at Birdland Park & Gardens overnight between Sunday (September 18) and Monday (September 19).
Cotswold Police Inspector Karen Ellis said the incident was the latest in a “concerning increase in crimes in commercial properties in that area, where the offenders are looking for small amounts of cash.”
She said: “It has been quite an increase and we’re stepping up our patrols in order to address it.
“It’s just about warning people in Bourton-on-the-Water that if you see anyone who looks suspicious to not hesitate to call the police.”
Last month, police appealed following several linked burglaries occurring in the town.
A tanning and beauty shop on Victoria Street was burgled some time between Friday, August 19 and Monday, August 22 and £60 was taken from a till.
And at around 4am on August 22, the front door window of a coffee shop on Moore Road was smashed, with £100 being stolen from the till.
On July 27, cash from a till was also stolen during a burglary at a fish and chip shop on the High Street, before another shop was broken into on Moore Road and a phone and safe were stolen on the same night.
