NOT so long ago, at a Si-FI exhibition, far, far away, a Malmesbury street artist lived out one of his childhood dreams.

Luke Hollingworth, 40, who produces art under the name Syd, was exhibiting at the Chippenham Si-Fi event over the weekend.

He was selling his artwork throughout the day, much of which featured his favourite Star Wars character Boba Fett.

The man who played the legendary character, Jeremy Bulloch, was sat upstairs at the exhibition, signing autographs as well a number of Luke’s pieces that people had bought.

After he had finished for the day, Mr Bulloch came down to find out where all the Boba Fett artwork had been coming from.

He found Luke’s stall and chatted to the star-struck artist.

Luke, a self-proclaimed Star Wars nerd, said it was a “childhood dream come true”.

“Boba Fett was the one every young boy liked, he was one of the coolest characters,” said Luke.

“He came down as he was leaving as he wanted to see where these pictures he was signing were coming from.

“He said “I’ve signed lots of your pictures today”.

“We chatted for a bit then he drifted off.

“Later I got two messages on my phone asking for two signed copies of my Boba Fett art, so I rushed out and asked him if there was any chance he could sign a couple more.

“He came over to sign them and his wife asked if I had any left, which I did, hidden away, so he took one home.

“The real Boba Fett owns my humble artwork. It doesn't get better than that.”
