POLICE are appealing to a motorist who mounted a kerb in Lechlade, striking two pedestrians and causing a two-year-old to be flung from a pushchair.
A metallic light-blue coloured car mounted a kerb in Gassons Way on Saturday (September 3) at 8.30pm, crossing a grass verge before driving onto the footpath and colliding with two people.
A 19-year-old man was hit by the car while a 24-year-old woman was “sent flying” and a two-year-old boy she was pushing was “flung out of the chair” before the motorist drove off, according to a police spokesman.
He said: “All suffered minor injuries, but the driver failed to stop.
“This could have been much more serious if the toddler had been strapped into the pushchair, which went under the vehicle during the incident.
“We would appeal to the driver and anyone else with information about this collision to come forward.”
Quote incident 417 of September 3.
