TETBURY Goods Shed have broken a milestone and hit £10,000 worth of donations towards their seat appeal.

The Goods Shed are looking to raise £45,000 in total to buy and install a state-of-the-art seating system so that they can offer a full programme of events.

The seat system will cost a total of £60,000, £15,000 has already been secured by the trust.

The seating is hoped to accommodate 184 people in a tiered system, and will feature comfortable, upholstered seats, allowance everyone a clear view of the cinema screen and live performances.

The powered system will extend and retract completely at the press of a button, creating a versatile auditorium.

The Name a Seat appeal asks for donations of £250 from people or organisations to fund one seat. Every donation will be commemorated with an engraved nameplate fixed to the seat’s backrest.
