PUPILS at Westonbirt School celebrated their success in their GCSEs with 44 per cent of A* to A grades.

The school also celebrated 14 per cent of their papers with a grade A*. Meanwhile, 69 per cent were A* to B grades.

Among the happy students were Ella Morrison from Chippenham who achieved three A*s, six As and a B; Gemma Gibbs from Tetbury who achieved three A*s and seven As; Gabby Israel Bolarinwa achieved seven A*’s, two As and a B and Katherine Willey achieved six A*s and three As.

There were many other personal success stories and Headmistress Natasha Dangerfield said: “We are delighted with these results which reflect the hard work and dedication of our pupils and teaching staff over the last two years and we look forward to beginning the A level courses with our pupils when they return in September.”

Looking at the percentage of A* to A grades in individual subjects, for Latin, it was 100 percent, French was 75 per cent, Chemistry and Physics was 60 per cent and Literature was 67 per cent.
