LECHLADE Scottish Country Dance Club has moved to a new temporary home at Southrop Village Hall.

Following a fire in May which destroyed the Lechlade Memorial Hall, the club’s original home, the undeterred dancers have moved elsewhere until the hall is restored.

Jeremy Spencer, one of the club’s teachers, said: “We lost all our music equipment – CD player, CDs and dance instructions in the fire but we have had fantastic support from our members and other clubs.

“We are delighted to be moving to a new home in Southrop until the Memorial Hall is restored.

“It’s an excellent facility.

“We are very keen to recruit new dancers, especially complete beginners,” he added.

The club will commence at 7.30pm on September 8.
