CIRENCESTER Fire Station is holding an open day this Sunday, August 21 from 1-5pm.
There will be lots of interactive displays going on for the public to learn about fire safety, meet the heroes that keep us safe and learn about what they do.
There will be many displays including the cherry picker platform and the incident specialist support unit.
also road traffic collision demonstration will take place and spectators will be able to see the firemen cutting open a car.
A road safety sledge, which simulates the impacts of a 30mph collision, will also be on display.
The highlight of the day for children will be the vintage 1970s fire engine which will be open for photos and the chance to have a go with the flashing lights.
