CHILDREN of Cirencester have been enjoying Love Parks week with fun and games taking place in all of town’s the green spaces.

In the Abbey Grounds, they were treated to an event put on by World Jungle on Tuesday, July 26.

Ben Ward, who hosted the event and is a director at World Jungle said: “We had a couple of hundred children come down and were entertained by circus skills, parachute games, including ‘sharks and lifeguards,’ ‘cat and mouse’ and ‘the sun shines on.’

“It’s part of a national campaign to get people out and celebrating their green spaces and it was a good turnout in Cirencester.”

The company, which is based in Dursley, runs programmes across the Cotswolds in association with town councils and Cotswold District Council.

They will be back in Cirencester next week continuing the Love Parks celebrations with three further events.

On Wednesday, August 3, celebrate National Play Day with face painting, bouncy castle, circus and music in St Michael’s Park from 1-4pm.

Next Friday, August 5, there will be a Scooter Jam at Kingshill Park from 1-4pm with competitions, prizes and a DJ followed by a Scratch and Skate festival on Sunday, August 7 at Cirencester Skate Park, also from 1-4pm.
