A NEW radio station serving Cirencester launches next month.

Glow Radio is a digital commercial radio station, also available to listeners in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and surrounding areas, hitting the airwaves on August 1.

It will be the first regional music station to serve the county on DAB, while also being available via app and online.

Aimed at the 15- 35 age group, presenters will be playing a mix of current hits and 90s dance anthems 24 hours a day, as well as providing a platform for local businesses to advertise on.

Tom Ellis, director of Glow Radio, said: “This is an exciting time for Gloucestershire. We can’t wait to start broadcasting to the region and provide the area with a much-needed service.

“Not only will we be a fresh new station to tune in to, it’s also a great platform for local businesses to get their messages across. Glow Radio will also create opportunities for talented local people who share our passion for radio.”

“Overall, Glow Radio will have a hugely positive effect on the area,” he added.
