A REWARD of up to £1,000 is being offered by Crimestoppers to anyone with information about a burglary at a jewellers in Tetbury.

CCTV images of the criminals breaking into the store, Taylor Black, have also been released in the hope that someone can come forward with more information.

The burglary took place on Wednesdsay, June 29 at around 3am.

It is understood that offenders forced their way through the front door using a three-metre wooden pole and a crow bar.

They then attempted to remove a safe by placing a harness around it.

They fled in two vehicles before they were able to steal anything as they were disturbed by the shop owner who came into the shop to see what was going on.

One of the vehicles is believed to be an Audi, which has since been recovered. The other vehicle is thought to be a silver estate.

Emily Van der Lely, Crimestoppers’ regional manager for Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, said: “Whilst these CCTV images do not show the offender’s face, we are hoping that someone may at least recognise the person’s clothing and would urge anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“We don’t ask for any personal details, you won’t have to speak to the police, and you won’t have to go to court. Just tell us what you know, not who you are.”

If you have any information, please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

The reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers. Information passed directly to police will not qualify.
