SOME of Malmesbury’s most iconic landmarks can be seen from the skies in stunning new bird’s eye footage released on the county’s leading tourism website.

The new film titled ‘What view did you wake up to this morning?’ is the first of a three part series released on VisitWiltshire.

Malmesbury Abbey and Abbey House Gardens are featured in the film which was made using the latest drone technology, made possible by funding from the recent £5m South West Tourism Growth Fund.

Fiona Errington, marketing manager of VisitWiltshire, said: “This footage will encourage more domestic and international visitors to come and see the magnificent Wiltshire countryside and iconic landmarks and views we have.

“We are working closely with VisitBritain, VisitEngland and VisitWiltshire partners to ensure this is shared online and via social media channels.”

Other Wiltshire sites featured on the video include Stonehenge, Longleat, Salisbury Cathedral, Bowood, Wilton Windmill, Crofton Beam Engines and the famous White Horses.
