ROGER Moore returned to Cirencester today amid rumours he has bought a house near the Cheltenham road.

The star of James Bond, The Saint and The Persuaders! popped into Made By Bob in the Corn Hall at around midday and was spotted at Jesse’s Bistro in Black Jack Street in February.

Now rumours are circulating that the 88-year-old has bought a house near the Green Dragon Inn at Cockleford, nine miles from Cirencester.

Moore, who played the womanising secret agent James Bond from 1973 to 1985, appears to be fond of the capital of the Cotswolds, after two confirmed visits in the past few months.

On his February visit, Linda Purvis who owns Encore clothes shop in Black Jack Street was left star-struck.

“I jumped out there when I recognised him,” she said.

“He said it looked like I had a stylish shop and made sure we got the sign in when we had the photo.

“He was just lovely; a real gentlemen. He had a great voice, that recognisable 007 voice.

“I’m a big Bond fan and so is my son who works with fast cars; so he’ll be very impressed.”
