CIRENCESTER head pro Ed Goodwin finished in a tie for 19th place in the prestigious Total Triumph Classic at the Oake Manor Golf Club in Taunton with rounds of 69 and 72.

That left him with a one-over-par total of 141 which was nine shots adrift of Ivybridge golf manager Paul Hendriksen who won the 36-hole tournament and its £2,000 first prize for the second year in a row.

Hendriksen beat a strong West Region field of 115 players with the runner-up being the region's outstanding young player Toby Hunt, whose second round 64 got him within one shot of the winner.

European Tour man David Dixon started the week as favourite but settled for third place two shots off the lead. The Enmore Park player shot two 67s.

Former South Cerney man Ross Langdon (Brickhampton Court) was up with the leaders with his first round 67 but faltered to 73 on his second 18.

Louis Boston who is coached by Tom Motley at South Cerney, finished in a tie for 12th with his one-under-par total of 139.

Former Farmor's School, Fairford pupil Danny Lee (Rushmore GC) finished tied 29th with rounds of 70 and 74.
