A MOTORCYCLING legend was unable to pick up a council honour due to illness.
Danny Kent made history last year when he became Britain’s first Grand Prix motorcycle world champion since 1977.
The Tetbury-based champion was set to pick up an award from Cotswold District Council last Tuesday but had to pull-out at the last minute.
The hand-over will now be re-arranged to a later date.
