THE Brewery Blues will be hosting a night celebrating local talent next month.
First to the stage on Friday, June 17 will be Henry Bateman, a songwriter from Fairford.
Never one to be in a mould, Henry's style has been influenced by a range of original guitarists/singer/ songwriters, ranging from Peter Gabriel, to Randy Newman and James Taylor.
Second will be The Familiars, a 4-piece indie outfit based in the Cotswolds fronted by the enigmatic man-of-many-faces Steve Skinley.
They draw influences from all sorts of musical genre - jazz, rock, pop and even film soundtracks.
Also from Fairford will be Seth Bye & Katie Griffin.
Together they have crafted a very original multi-instrumental folk unit who blur the edges between traditional music and contemporary styles.
Their diversity in style ranges from jazz to Indian classical, all threaded within a Gloucestershire folk-twist.
The evening begins at 7.45pm, tickets for the whole night are just £10 in advance from The Kings Head Hotel or by calling 01285 700900, otherwise £12 on the night.
