Local property market appears resilient to EU Referendum

WE have seen some excellent results so far this May.

There has been considerable activity in the prime country house market owing to a good response from the Cotswold Issue of Country Life and from our advertising and editorials in other national publications.

On Friday last week we exchanged contracts on four properties with guide prices varying from £425,000 to £1,650,000 and agreed sales on others all in the same day.

46 per cent of our sales in the last two months are on properties under £1,500,000 and on average 96 per cent of the guide prices were achieved in April.

We have over 600 active buyers on our books looking to spend over £1.2 billion in this area.

Many of these are London buyers who come to us via our nine Knight Frank Cotswold offices or via our 30 London offices.

We have also been busy getting out and about in the area over the last month or so.

We are the proud to sponsors of the RDA Dressage Competition at Summerhouse Equestrian and The Coach House specialist plant sales, which are held in beautiful gardens in Ampney Crucis.

These wonderful plant sales are held in aid of the James Hopkins Trust which helps severely disabled and life limited young children.

We were also pleased to welcome lots of people from far afield at our stand at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials at the beginning of the month. There’s lots more to look forward to in 2016!
