A CARER has scooped an award for being the best at her job in Gloucestershire.

Fiona Steen was chosen for her “Olympic-style dedication” when looking after a client in South Cerney who has motor neurone disease and needs around the clock care.

The Network Healthcare employee picked up the award at The Gloucestershire Care Providers Association at Cheltenham Racecourse on May 11.

Network Healthcare have offices across the Britain and are a domiciliary care and nurse agency providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions.

Emma Campbell, operations and registered manager responsible for the delivery and quality of care across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, put forward Fiona for Carer of the Year, and was delighted when she scooped the prize.

A spokesman for the company said: “The management of Network Healthcare are highly honoured and proud to be winner of this coveted award, giving them the recognition for constant high standards of care.”
