FAMILIES can get up close and personal with birds at Bourton-on-the-Water Birdland park this May bank holiday.
From April 30 to May 2, children and parents can become a perch for a parrot or a landing pad for an owl, or climb inside the tortoise pen.
They can also watch keepers feed two species of Penguins their nutritious fish supper at 11am and 2.30pm daily.
They are fed buckets of Herring and Sprats, the King Penguins and Humboldt's favourites respectively.
There will also be a new Hatchery, housing eggs from ducks, quails and chickens as well as newly hatched chicks needing to keep warm in the incubator.
Alternatively, visit the Discovery Zone tells the story of the egg with critters like lizards and snakes close enough to spy on.
Admission is £9.95 for adults and £6.95 for children aged three to 15.
