  • CHURCH services this Sunday are, in Kemble at 9.30am a Family Service and in Poole Keynes Holy Communion will be held. At 11am in Somerford Keynes Holy Communion will take place. Additional services are held during the week on Tuesday mornings at 8.30am with prayers in Kemble church and on Wednesdays at 10am, Holy Communion in Old Pastures Kemble. Trevor Kemp thanks all those who kindly supported his son on his charity walk for Blind Veterans UK for whom you helped raised £280. 
  • THE recent Poole Keynes race night held in the village hall made the fantastic sum of £548 towards the village hall funds. Judith passes on her grateful thanks to all those who supported this event and asks if anyone would be interested on being on the rota for cleaning Poole Keynes hall. Working in pairs, the more the merrier on the rota means the ‘turns’ will only be once or twice a year.   • THE parish council chairman Roger Pettit informs allotment holders at the Community Gardens following preliminary discussions at the Cotswold District Council offices and a site visit by their property staff to survey and draw up the existing layout, reassurance can be given that plots will remain available, most certainly this year and with a few possible exceptions probably in perpetuity. 
  • ON TUESDAY patients of St Peter's Road surgery in Cirencester can attend an educational evening on mental health and the benefits of exercise for emotional well being event on Tuesday, April 12 from 6pm for an hour. This is a free event for patients but spaces are limited so please book your place on 653184. 
  • ON THURSDAY, April 14 a memorial service will be held in Kemble church at 11am for Cecil Cleverley who died on Wednesday, March 2 in Leighton Buzzard. Before Cecil retired he was the manager of Lloyds Bank in Cirencester. For many years he was very involved with All Saints Church, Kemble both as treasurer and church warden and was a member of Cirencester Rotary club. He spent many hours getting involved with local projects. Donations will be for MacMillan cancer support and All Saints church Kemble. Any cheques should be made payable to PCC Kemble. 
  • WILL Jago, on 01285 770995, would like to do any jobs in order to raise money towards his taking part in the Gloucester Diocese youth trip to Bangalore and Dornakai in India. The group will be working with children and young people in orphanages, day centres and schools. 
  • IF YOU attend the Monday morning Coffee Stop in Kemble village hall from 10am-11.30am, Mandie invites you to take along any items such as seed packets, excess plants, flowers and any produce not required by yourselves to give away or even sell. 
  • THE winning number for the March draw of the Kemble Village Hall 200 club was 59 and Anne Wilton of Kemble was the lucky winner.
