Road closure on A40 affecting traffic between Northleach and Andoversford
**Update: The A40 has now been reopened.
THE ROAD has been closed at the A40 between the Hazleton junction and the junction with the old A40, near the Garniche Hotel.
Police were called in to a car accident at 2.15pm on the road in Compton Abdale outside Puesedown Inn. The ambulance were also in attendance.
Four cars were involved in the accident and are blocking the road and need recovering.
Two people suffered seatbelt injuries, though it was not thought to be serious.
The closure has caused queueing traffic and is affecting traffic travelling between Northleach and Andoversford.
Enquiries are ongoing.
