  • THE Police Community Support Officer will be at the police point at the rear of the pavilion on Monday, February 15 from 10-11am and again on Thursday 18 from 6-7 pm. This is to meet the public and to help out with any issues of concern.
  • THE Lechlade Cinema will be showing Suffragette (cert 12A) on Sunday, February 21.

The film stars Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Helena Bonham Carter.

It charts the story of an early feminist movement where women were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.

Having found that peaceful protest achieved nothing they risk everything to fight for equality.

Doors open as usual at 7pm for refreshments and a chance to chat to friends and the film starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets still cost just £3 and the profits will go to support local organisations, charities and the like. To reserve a seat, call 01367 253633.
