  • AN OPEN meeting will be held tonight 7.30pm Thursday in Poole Keynes village hall to discuss the initial plans and options for the summer fete for the village. 
  • MEMBERS of the public are very welcome to attend the meeting of the Kemble and Ewen parish council which takes place tomorrow Friday at 7.30pm in Kemble village hall.

The agendas are always displayed on the village notice board for seven days beforehand.

Whilst the public may not speak during the actual meeting if they have a particular area of concern, a short time can be given for discussion generally prior to the meeting.

  • SUNDAY services are in Kemble - A Family Service and in Poole Keynes - Holy Communion both taking place at 9.30am. At 11am in Somerford Keynes Holy Communion will be held.

On Wednesday evening at the Royal Agricultural University the Filling Station which is an informal and friendly gathering of worship, prayer, fellowship and teaching will take place from 7.45pm the speaker this time will be Ann Absalom. Everyone welcome.

  • KEMBLE Rural cinema presents this Monday the film Suffragette starring Carey Mulligan Anne-Marie Duff and Helena Bonham Carter in Kemble village hall with doors open at 7.30pm for refreshments with the film commencing at 8pm.
  • THE mobile library will be outside Kemble village hall on Tuesday morning for a couple of hours from 9.40am and on Wednesday it will be at the end of Mill Lane from 10.20am until 12.20pm in Somerford Keynes.
  • WITH the national eating disorder awareness week falling in February Kemble and Ewen women's Institute has joined together with the Cirencester eating disorders group to have a speaker at its meeting on Tuesday 16 who has been through eating distress as well as other personal issues.

Joanne Croxford has turned her life around and is now a WI president and a NHS mental health trust assistant to a chief executive in Cambridge.

All welcome to come to Kemble village hall at 2pm and hear Joanne’s inspirational story.

  • DATE for the diary – plans are well under way for the celebration to mark HRH The Queen's 90th birthday in Kemble and Ewen.

The date for our event will be between the actual birthday and the official birthday i.e. Sunday, May 15 from 2.30pm. The venue will be in the grounds of The Tavern pub Kemble.

All welcome, there will be something for everyone to entertain small children to senior citizens. More details will follow.
