  • LENT Lunches begin next Thursday, February 18 at Dunvegan in Whelford at 12.30pm. All are welcome; donations accepted. The following Lent Lunch will be on Tuesday, February 23 in Dunfield.
  • ENJOY A Break in a relaxed atmosphere at Kempsford Village Hall Cafe today February 11, 12-2 pm. Homemade soup and rolls, speciality teas and home-baked cakes. All welcome. The Post Office will also be there with stationery for sale as well as the usual Post Office services.
  • KEMPSFORD Beer Fes - tival at the Village Hall Sat - urday, March 19. Watch Six Nations Rugby Live. Wales v Italy 2.30pm; Ireland v Scot - land 5pm; France v England 8pm. Take part in the Rugby Challenge. Real Ales, cider, wines and bottled lagers. Hot food served all day.
  • SHEP Woolley at Kempsford Village Hall Friday, February 26, 7.30pm. Doors open 6.45pm for bar and jacket potato supper. Please pre-book tickets (£8) and supper (£5). Call Joy on 01285 810439.
  • HOLY Communion this Sunday at St Mary’s Church Kempsford at 10am led by Revd Paul Springate.
  • ALL are welcome to attend the Whelford VIllage Hall AGM on Wednesday, February 17, 6.30pm at the hall.
  • LIVE Music this Saturday, February 13 at Whelford Village Hall. The hall will be open from 8pm until midnight.
  • DISCUSSIONS are taking place as to how we can celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. One suggestion is to decorate the village with bicycles, creating a display with flowers or other theme and place them outside our houses. If anyone has other ideas please contact Christine Nugent at christinenugent@kempsfordparishcouncil.net.
  • TO RAISE money to purchase prizes for an Easter Bingo the Friends of Kempsford School are inviting children to come to school tomorrow February 12 in non-uniform clothes. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the children are encouraged to wear something red. A donation of £1 per child would be appreciated.

Commencing at 2.30pm on this day coffee and cakes will be served in the school hall.
