A GLOBAL technology products provider celebrated the opening of their new headquarters in South Cerney this week, with plans to tap into “local talent” as they continue to expand.

ProLabs, an independent third party provider of network infrastructure and compatibility products, who made the move from a smaller premises in Cirencester in December, are now based just a few miles south at a purpose-built facility at Eagle House on Lakeside Business Park.

The impressive new headquarters, which include office space spanning 4,000 feet, a test laboratory and packaging warehouse, as well as a gym for employees, offer a great example of growing businesses continuing to choose the Cotswolds in which to base their operations.

The move is the result of the company’s considerable expansion, which, since becoming an independent entity in 2013 has sold over four million products worldwide and boasts 45 global employees, with other established branches in the US and Hong Kong.

Nick Moglia, ProLabs CEO, speaking at a launch event on January 28, said the company expect to turnover £25m in 2016. “The building blocks are firmly in place for further growth,” he said. “We are keen to tap into the local talent pool.”

Samantha Holdford, HR and facilities manager, said: “We have very ambitious growth targets, to deliver this we will need to expand our team accordingly.

“Eagle House offers the perfect location, facilities and career prospects for local talent.

“We have invested heavily in a fantastic new building with excellent staff facilities including a gym and games room.”

Mr Moglia, who was appointed to his current position in March 2013, has worked in and around Cirencester for more than 17 years. He said while other locations were considered when the new headquarters was in the planning stages, he felt remaining in the Cotswolds was important.

He said: “When we were looking at suitable areas for our new headquarters we did look further afield, but we felt the Cotswolds has that perfect blend of gorgeous scenery as well as excellent connections. It’s an hour and quarter to London.

“Research showed that we would also likely lose key people from the business if we were to move away. We were keen to retain our staff and needed a place which serves all our purposes.”
