PARISIAN-STYLE dining is expected to be coming to Cirencester by March.

Plans to convert the former Hares Antiques site on Black Jack Street, which has been vacant for several years into a Côte Brasserie were passed in February last year.

Côte, which has restaurants across the country that are themed on charming Parisian bistros has now started work on refurbishing the new premises and it is hoping that it could open its doors to foodies in March.

Marketing and PR manager at Côte Restaurants, Paola Voiro, said: “We are very excited about opening in a charming town like Cirencester, although we don’t have a confirmed opening date we are hoping it will be in March.

“We have long thought that Cirencester would be the perfect setting for Côte, as we pride ourselves on the neighbourhood feel our restaurants have and Cirencester is a friendly place with great local spirit. We are confident that our ethos of offering high quality food at value for money prices and personable customer service will fit in well in Cirencester.”

Diners who visit the restaurant, which will open from breakfast through till dinner will be enjoy a host of brasserie favourites from a à la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinières, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany. The restaurant’s menu evolves seasonally to introduce dishes such as cassoulet and duck confit.

Some of the restaurants specialities include crème caramel and crème brûlee.

A range of coffee and teas will also be available at the restaurant as well as an all French wine list.
