PLANNING permission has been granted by Cotswold District Council to convert one of a Cirencester Primary School's historic buildings into two homes.
The Grade II* listed Powell’s School House at Powell’s Primary School is owned by the Powell’s Education Foundation (PEF).
The PEF, the school, its governors and the Gloucester Diocesan Education department, decided that the building should be sold as it is too costly to maintain.
In a statement about the conversion in the school’s newsletter, a spokesman said: “Planning permission has now been granted to PEF but there are a couple of further steps that need to be followed before the property can go on the market.”
