A MEALS-ON-WHEELS delivery driver tried to scam cash from people while he was delivering food to their homes in Cirencester, it is alleged.
People who order meals which are provided by the Royal Voluntary Service, pay for them by direct debit or standing order in advance of them being delivered.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will face three fraud charges at Cheltenham Magistrates court on January 18 2016.
It is alleged that the driver asked for money for the meals despite them being paid for in advance.
The man is accused of scamming £20 from one user of the meals on wheels service in Preston near Cirencester on October 3 this year.
It is also alleged that on the same date, the man unsuccessfully tried to scam cash from a users of the service, who live on the Beeches housing estate and Austin Road in Cirencester.
