DPK Beavers, in Cirencester, are collecting foreign coins as they work towards their Community Impact Badge and raise awareness of Dementia.
The coins they collect will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity.
There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with the number constantly rising and the Society aims to keep those suffering with dementia connected to their lives and those who matter most.
The Community Impact badge is designed to encourage Beavers to take practical action in the service of others, in order to create positive social change, benefiting the wider community as well as those taking part in the activities.
Foreign coins can be donated at The Candyman sweet shop in Blackjack Street or Miles Morgan Travel agency in Cricklade Street before Friday, December 11.
