THE Beaufort Hunt know the importance of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance (WAA) all too well, and have recently donated £1,000 to the charity.

The money was raised from the proceeds of the highly successful and popular Beaufort Hunt Horse Show that is held annually at Badminton in the summer.

The cheque was presented to WAA staff on Saturday, November 21, by members of the Beaufort Hunt Supporters Club at a meet of the Hunt in Badminton Park.

In addition, a cheque for £200 was also donated from the Beaufort Hunt Horse Show to Horse World, the Bristol based charity that rescues and rehomes horses, ponies and donkeys.

A spokesperson for the Beaufort Hunt said: “The wonderful service provided by the WAA is one that is important to all who live in rural areas.

“None of us know when we might have to call on them, whether as a result of an accident riding, cycling or in a car, farming or a medical emergency.

“[It is] a vital cause close to our hearts, a pleasure to support.”
