CRIME in Tetbury has seen a significant drop.
In October, there were just five substantiated crimes in the town, compared to nine in the same month last year.
The biggest drop was in thefts, which plummeted from six in October 2014 to zero in October this year.
Overall, Tetbury has been the scene of 59 crimes from April 1, 2015, to October 31, 2015, compared to 62 in the same period last year.
PC Leah Davis said in her monthly report to Tetbury Town Council: “With the recent putting back of the clocks, this is a prime time of the year, where we ask all residents to review their home security. As historically burglaries rise during over this time.
“Police carried out Operation Switch Monday, November 9, which saw the mobile unit along with local officers stationed as the Tesco store to give out home security advice along with a number of free security timers.
