A TEENAGER has been sentenced to a year in a youth detention centre for his part in a high speed police chase in Bourton-on-the-Water on May 2.
The pursuit started when a police car was rammed in Station Road by a stolen Subaru Impreza.
A boy aged 17, from Cheltenham, was sentenced at Cheltenham youth court to three detention and training orders totalling 12 months and has points on his driving license.
He was sentenced for making off without payment, aggravated vehicle taking, breach of an ASBO, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, dangerous driving and failure to stop.
Police have charged another boy aged 17 with burglary, causing a danger to other road users, aiding and abetting dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking. He will appear before Cheltenham youth court on May 29.
A boy aged 16 will appear in court on the same day charged with burglary, causing danger to other road users and aggravated vehicle taking. Both are remanded in custody.
Police have released a boy aged 14 on police bail who was charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking.
He will appear before Gloucester Youth Court on Thursday, May 31.
