THE Malmesbury bonfire and fireworks night was a huge success, following much doubt as to whether it would go ahead.
The event made a profit of £3,500 and, after the 51 per cent donation to The Fire Fighters Charity who had helped with the event, £1,715 is left to be distributed to local good causes.
People are encouraged to email their application for funding to kmaslin@blount-maslin.co.uk for consideration.
Keith Maslin was one of the organisers of the event. He said: “On behalf of the Malmesbury Firework Committee, I am delighted to report that the recent bonfire and fireworks event was a major success.
“Many thanks once more to all those that both supported and attended, and we look forward to putting on an even better event for you all next year.”
