Running Somewhere Else
Cricklade 10k & Half-Marathon
A MISTY Sunday morning saw 224 runners compete in this year's Cricklade 10k. First home for the Running Somewhere Else club was James Thomas in sixth place in a time of 37.15.
He was followed by Sally Jamieson (58.40) and Sue Whittles (1:03.40).
Also running was Adrian Williams (second claim RSE) who finished in first place in a time of 33.50.
Nine RSE members were among 281 other runners competing in the ever popular Cricklade Half-Marathon on Sunday.
First home for the club was Mark Garrett finishing in 1:28.40, followed by Matt Lambourne 1:33.09, Nick Duncan 1:38.59, Nick Grinham 2:00.12, Sarah Gray 2:15.02, Cat Shelley 2:15.18, Jenny Hoffman 2:16.44, Tracy Edginton 2:21.01 (in her first half-marathon) and Kate Potter 2:25.13.
Also running was Rebecca Ferry (second claim RSE) who finished in 1:35.44.
Oldbury Power Station 10-mile
RICHARD MARSHALL ran in the Oldbury Power Station 10-mile road race on Sunday, finishing the fast, flat course in 1:39.24.
Parkruns
SIX RSE members ran in various Parkruns around the country.
In Swindon, Matt Lambourne recorded 21.05, Claire Joyce 28.08, Caroline Sandercock 29.58 and Elspeth Murano 54.08 (as a follow-up marshal).
Cheltenham: Amanda Rowan 37.14; Milton Keynes: Pete Whitmore 32.59.
