GLOUCESTERSHIRE racer Jordan Weaving had a tough weekend when he made his debut at the Assen circuit in the Netherlands, crashing out on the first lap of the race.
It was a disappointing end after the 18-year-old had continued his recent upsurge in form by qualifying in pole position.
The NMT No Limits Kawasaki rider has recently been finding his feet and gained his first podium in the National Superstock 600 series recently at Cadwell Park.
After a strong start the former Cirencester Deer Park pupil was taken out by a rival on the opening lap and was unable to rejoin the race.
Weaving said: "I'm unhappy for the team that our weekend ended like that, but that's racing.
"The crash was fast and I'm lucky to come away unhurt. I'm lucky to have good race wear. I can't wait to bounce back at Silverstone."
