Barnwood Park and Arboretum given Green Flag award
GLOUCESTER City Council and local community group Friends of Barnwood Arboretum have been recognised for their work to maintain Barnwood Park and Arboretum
The area has been given Green Flag status, the benchmark national standard for parks and green spaces.
Gloucestershire County Council have also awarded the Friends of Barnwood Arboretum a £1,500 grant so it can pay for a professional chainsaw artist to turn fallen trees into artwork.
