MOBILE speed camera operators have revealed the areas they will be targeting this month.
Mobile speed detection vans operate at around 80 sites across the county but prioritise certain areas which have been flagged up as prone to speeding or accident blackspots.
The information comes through research and intelligence from local communities.
“Within the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), the Mobile Camera Enforcement Unit is committed to reducing risks to road users caused by vehicles travelling at excessive speeds," a spokesman from GRSP said.
“In an effort to reduce speeding in areas across the county, the priority sites will be advertised each month.
“Visits to the other sites will continue but emphasis will be placed on the advertised locations.”
In August mobile speed camera operators will be prioritising:
A436 Lineover Wood (near Seven Springs)
A40 Hampnett (near Northleach)
A429 Fossebridge
Waterwells Drive, Quedgeley
Secunda Way, Gloucester.
