CUTE new faces unexpectedly appeared at a South Cerney Farm this month.

Despite it being an unusual time of year for births at Butts Farm Rare Breeds, adorable kids (baby goats)  Kalvin and Hobbes as well as Chinese goose gosling Matilda all entered the world.

And all three of the gorgeous youngsters are settling in well at the farm.

Judy Hancox-Wallace owner and founder of Butts Farm Rare Breeds said: “Nobody really expected to see babies this time of year.

“They are doing very well , they are enjoying being the youngest on the farm and they are very proud.

“This time of year you just slow down a but we have got new animals and it is like spring again.

“It is just quite late really for goat kids to be born – January to March is the usual season and goslings do not lay all year round - this is right at the end of their laying season really.

“They are doing very well, they are enjoying being the youngest on the farm and they are very proud.”

The farm in Cricklade Road, is open to the public Monday to Saturday between 10.30pm and 5pm.

Visitors are able to feed animals like Kalvin and Hobbes and the many piglets that populate the farm.
