TWO men died following an accident on the A429 in the early hours of this morning.


Gloucestershire Police told the Standard that two males were killed when two goods vehicles and two cars crashed near Fossebridge, but said their next of kin were yet to be informed.

 

Investigation work is underway between Northleach and Foss Cross and the road will remain closed for most of the day.

 

Drivers are being diverted along the A417 toward the Air Balloon roundabout.

 

A police statement reads: "Following a serious a serious road traffic collision which occurred near the village of Fossebridge on the A429 early this morning, the road is closed and diversions are in place.

 

"The A429 is closed in both directions between Cirencester and Northleach and is likely to remain so until mid afternoon.

 

"Traffic should avoid this area and use the A417, A436, and A40.

 

"Any witnesses should contact police on 101 quoting incident 24 of July 23."
