PARENTS are being offered the opportunity to take their children to a series of fun and free pet workshops this summer holiday.

Children can interact with and learn more about a variety of scaled, finned and furry friends at Pets at Home in Cirencester when they launch their My Pet Pals Summer Activity Club, a series of free interactive pet workshops.

The workshops will cover how to look after pets, such as guinea pigs, hamsters, degus, fish and reptiles.

After completing the workshops, each child will receive a workbook, certificate and stickers.

Store manager, James Seale, says: “We are very excited about welcoming children to My Pet Pals Summer Activity Club. It’s a great way for children to learn about the importance of responsible pet ownership, whilst having fun at the same time.

“And while some may not be able to own a pet, or may have never seen certain animals in real life, they can learn, feed and care for some for free in-store.”
