MOGGIE, a much loved family pet is still missing from her home in Ampney Crucis and her owners are desperate to get her back.

Mogwai, fondly known as Moggie, vanished some time between 2.30-3.30pm last Friday.

She is a neutered female, age three, microchipped and was last seen wearing a tag with her name and phone number on it. The postcode on the tag is an old one.

Her owner Shiwon Green says Moggie is not a dog who wanders at all.

"But she is very social and would be easy to coerce into a vehicle," said Shiwon. "She was last seen by our farrier and noticed missing when our children came home from school at 3:30pm.

"Unfortunately we live on a large estate and there are renovations going on in the main house which means that there are a lot of people through here, plus we wouldn’t necessarily recognise anyone ‘out of place’."

Moggie was brought to the UK from New Zealand when her owners emigrated 18 months ago.

"We're all feeling her loss, but especially our son who has ADHD and finds her a calming influence," added Shiwon.

Moggie is a very distinctive looking dog, black and wheaten coloured with a white patch on her chest. She is a shih tzu, llasa apso, Australian terrier cross.

The family have registered her on Doglost, have gone door to door in the village, have put flyers up from their home to Burford, and talked to all the vets and rescue places they could get hold of.

There is a substantial reward offered for her safe return.
