A CHARITY concert organised by a 20-year-old woman from Kemble raised £1,200 for young carers in Cirencester.
Aspiring teacher Jess Turner wanted to raise at least £1,000 for charity Gloucestershire Young Carers through her South Cerney church concert on June 5.
Yet she surpassed all expectations and raised around £1,200 for the vital charity, which provides support for children in Cirencester - and all over the county - who have to care for a parent or sibling.
Jess said the event, held in All Hallows' Church in South Cerney, was "amazing".
This is the second concert she has organised and hopes to plan more for the future.
Jess currently works as a nanny and lives in Kemble with her mum and her sister.
