HUNDREDS of people attended Sapperton's popular Highland Games event which raised a record amount of cash for charity.

The annual summer show raised £3,000 for Sapperton Primary School and the churches of Sapperton and Frampton Mansell.

Boy and girls and men and women enjoyed a host of fun activities at the event, which was held at Park Corner Farm, such as a bungee run, tug of war and welly wanging.

And pooches battled it out in a dog show that was judged by Lady Bathurst.

Joint organiser Dawn Thomas from Sapperton School, said:“ We are really pleased. It is our best year yet.

“One of the things that was most popular were the bungee run, we had youngsters doing it and boyfriends and girlfriends competing against each other.”

She added that she wanted to thank Jeremy Hoskins, owner of the farm, for helping prepare the show and Lady Bathurst for judging the dog competition.
