THE annual South Cerney Duck Race And Street Fair Weekend on Bank Holiday Monday has been branded the best yet by organisers.
Thousands of people packed into the streets of village to enjoy a variety of stalls was performances from bands including the Corinium Players and JJ’s Swing Band.
And eyes were glued to the River Church as hundreds of ducks fought it out the duck race.
Katharine Isles, who lives in the manor and helps organise the event said she though thatthe event was probably the best event to take place in the village.
She said: “It was the most amazing day – we had the most positive feedback.
“It was the best most perfect, wonderful event.”
“It was just a great weekend. Everybody from old people to kids came. There was something for everybody to do. A lot stayed all day and had a great day out.”
