A LOCAL celebrity mowed down opposition to win a gold medal at the RHS Malvern Show.
Tetbury woman Kate Durr won the show’s highest accolade “best in show” in the Festival Gardens category for her garden “Constraining Nature”.
Kate was encouraged to submit a design only seven weeks into her garden design course at The Cotswold Gardening School, based at Gossington Hall near Slimbridge.
Whatley Manor, near Malmesbury, helped Kate prepare for the competition by giving up space in their greenhouses and having their head gardener for any questions.
